Quick thoughts on the Jaguars' loss to the Packers
It's always rough to watch the Jaguars lose, but today's loss gave me reason to hope in an otherwise unbearable season. The Jaguars played well, but they were done in by their own mistakes. Last week, the Jaguars would have beat the Raiders comfortably had Blaine Gabbert remained in the game. This week, the Jaguars may have won against a quality opponent if not for a blocked punt and a Rashad Jennings fumble. Here's a few more of my thoughts on today's game.
Blaine Gabbert has looked very sharp in the past two games. If that continues, the Jaguars can throw out the idea of picking a quarterback with what should be a very high draft pick and use it on a player to help continue building talent pool in Jacksonville.
I realize the Packers were dealing with some very detrimental offensive injuries, but I'm still impressed with the job the Jaguars did in holding them down for most of the game.
Today we saw something that many, if not most, poor teams struggle with. Resolve. The Jaguars fell down 14-3 early on, but they bounced back when it would have been very easy to give it up.
Yeah, it was rough to see the Jaguars lose another close game, but I applaud the effort.

no commentsGabbert proves doubters wrong
Blaine Gabbert played a full game with a torn labrum Sunday, and he didn’t just play, he shined.
The Jacksonville Jaguars sophomore quarterback proved all doubters wrong, including myself, by having a career day when he and the Jaguars could have just rolled over and conceded to the Green Bay Packers on the road.

no commentsWeek 8 Preview: Jaguars (1-5) at Packers (4-3)

The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) travel to historic Lambeau Field on Sunday to face the Green Bay Packers (4-3), in what will undoubtedly be Jacksonville's biggest test this season. With Maurice Jones-Drew out of the lineup this week, after sustaining a foot injury against the Raiders last week, RB Rashad Jennings will get the start. If the Jaguars hope to have any chance in this game, the offense needs to be clicking on all cylinders, because field goals simply won't get the job done against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
no commentsAre the Jaguars uncertain about Blaine Gabbert's injury?
With less than 24 hours until game time, the Jacksonville Jaguars seem to be unsure about quarterback Blaine Gabbert’s injured shoulder.

That could be an indication that the team's confidence in Gabbert’s torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder is wavering.

NFL misspells Paul Posluszny's name
Paul Posluszny is a dominate player for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He's a tackling machine, and you can usually find him at or near the football on any given play. He's respected around the league, but apparently not by the league. Take a look at the screen shot below, and note the misspelling of Posluszny's name.

The misspelling occurred on the Pro Bowl ballot at NFL.com.
Sure, it's comical that the NFL can't spell its own players' names right, but throwing in the "T" doesn't even make sense. Here's to hoping this never happens on a game jersey to Posluszny. Now that would be embarrassing.
