Jaguars, Colts open thread; only pride remains

Written by Shane Clemons on .

The Jaguars take on the Indianapolis Colts tonight in a game that seemingly only matters to the Colts. At 5-3, Indianapolis is in the thick of the AFC wildcard race, and they're Jacksonville's most hated team. The Jaguars would need to win out and get plenty of help to make the playoffs. At 1-7, it's just not going to happen. Tonight's game is all about doing damage to Indianapolis' playoff hopes. The Jaguars' postseason hopes may have been dashed a couple of weeks ago, but they can still play for pride.

Early on we can say the Jaguars' offense is awful. This team shouldn't be worse than last season's team, but somehow it is.

Blaine Gabbert is 3-0 against the Colts as a starter. Really disappointing season so far, but it'd be nice to keep that streak intact.

A quick start is a necessity for the Jaguars to have a hope of winning.
