Jaguars 3, Colts 17; halftime thoughts

At halftime, the Jaguars trail the Colts 3 to 17, and the big difference in the game hasn't been in respect to the two teams' quarterbacks.

Blaine Gabbert has played well to this point, as has Andrew Luck. Both quarterbacks have similar numbers, but Andrew Luck has been helped more by the rest of his team than Gabbert has.

It's at this point that I'd like to address the officiating so far in the game. There's been a ton of outcry on Twitter, but if you look at each close play, the refs were probably right. The fumble was a fumble, the fourth and inches touchdown did look like a touchdown, and Cecil Shorts III didn't complete the process of catching the football on third and long. In short, the refs have been pretty solid considering the number of close calls.

Worth noting: The Jaguars trailed the Colts 14 to 3 at halftime of their matchup in Indianapolis in September.
