While it's not surprising that Knighton will be missing extended time this offseason, there is a definite silver lining here. Knighton missing three months puts his return to the team sometime around the middle of July, plenty of time to get in shape and get ready for the season. It was feared that Knighton may miss the entire 2012 season.
As you may recall, Terrance Knighton sustained an eye injury just over a week ago in an altercation at Pure Nightclub. It was revealed shortly after the injury was originally reported that the injury was not career threatening, and the injury did not pose any long-term problems for Knighton, but it's extent was not made clear. With this latest news, we're getting closer to knowing the full story. For now, I'll settle with this bit of good news.
