Eben Britton thinks he'll start at right tackle

This tidbit just flew across my Twitter timeline from Tania Ganguli.

If you remember, Eben Britton played in 2011 primarily at left guard until he was eventually place on the injured reserve list in November.

In his rookie season (2009), he Britton showed a lot of promise as a tackle, actually playing better than Eugene Monroe (also a rookie in 2009), but his progress essentially stopped in 2010, however. Eugene Monroe has developed into a very solid offensive tackle.

The prospect of Britton moving back to right tackle is great. If he can begin to progress as many thought he would following 2009, he could become a key element in protecting Blaine Gabbert. The Jaguars are trying to focus on protecting Gabbert through their offseason moves, and it would appear that the Jaguars have indicated to Britton that his role may be at tackle in the long-term, not at guard.
