The Jaguars Season Ruled Over

The Jaguars have officially packed it in.

After much urging from fans across northern Florida, the Jacksonville Jaguars will not be playing any of their remaining games. A coach that spoke in anonymity said, "We've decided that being 1 game out of the division is just too much to come back from." When asked about the remaining 14 games he said, "Why bother? It's clear that we're a 4-12 team at best. With the money the team can save on airline expenses by not playing, we all can get new office chairs. It really is a win, win for the players and coaches."

Clearly the Jaguars' season fell apart Sunday. The Jets had their way with a team that had high hopes going into the 2011 campaign, but the season just hasn't panned out the way we had all hoped. The Jaguars' win over the Titans can only be described as a fluke, and the season is already lost.

The Jaguars have also expressed that they'd like the idea of drafting quarterback Andrew Luck with the first pick of the 2012 draft, saying, "Gabbert didn't play well enough against the Jets to get us the win and save our season. We have to move on when we realize it just isn't working, and that's what happened here."

The Jaguars will resume play in September of 2012.
